Manifezt Foundation and community partners use Larcenia J. Bullard Plaza to create recurring opportunities for seniors, youth, families, entrepreneurs and neighborhood organizations throughout Richmond Heights and District 9.

District 9 Seniors Program

Manifezt Foundation hosts the Miami-Dade County District 9 Seniors Program in the Plaza's community conference room, providing a consistent and welcoming place for local seniors to connect, socialize, participate in enrichment activities and receive helpful resources that support overall well-being. The program is hosted in partnership with the office of Miami-Dade County District 9 and reflects the Plaza's role as a centrally located community resource for residents of all ages.

Science in the City

Hands-on STEMCareer-based learningFree youth programming

Science in the City is Manifezt Foundation's career-based STEM initiative for youth. The program uses project-based workshops to make advanced concepts tangible and relevant to future careers across Earth and space science, technology, robotics and engineering, biology, chemistry and other natural sciences. Workshops emphasize active experimentation rather than lecture-only learning so participants can connect scientific concepts to real-world applications.

Open to players of different ages and skill levels, the club creates a recurring social space where experienced players can sharpen their skills while newer players learn the game in a welcoming environment.

First Fridays in the Heights

First Fridays in the Heights is a recurring community-centered gathering that brings residents, families, businesses and visitors together for an evening of food, culture, entertainment and neighborhood connection. Hosted at Larcenia Bullard Plaza, the monthly gathering showcases local restaurants, food trucks, entrepreneurs, artists and community organizations while creating a family-friendly environment that celebrates Richmond Heights.

Partner Programming

Room for organizations to bring useful ideas into the neighborhood.

In addition to recurring programs, the Plaza can support approved nonprofit, educational, civic, business, cultural and neighborhood programming. Manifezt Foundation's operating model is built around partnerships: organizations can bring subject-matter expertise, services, volunteers or resources, while the Plaza provides a visible community setting where those efforts can reach residents.

Potential uses include educational workshops, health and wellness programming, entrepreneurship and workforce sessions, civic meetings, cultural events, senior activities, youth engagement and other community-serving initiatives consistent with the property's approved uses.
